 From 9 to 16 September 2011, the second edition of Animacursed - International Festival of Horror Animation will take 72 animated horror feature and short films, Brazilian and foreign, to the Cine Cultural Justiça Federal and Cine Iris. Cine Iris will be the festival grindhouse with no breaks exhibition sessions. The Animacursed is the only international festival in the world dedicated exclusively to the exhibition and awards animated films of horror, terror and thriller. The festival consists of the Phil Mulloy Special with the feature film Goodbye Mr. Christie, the Short Film Competition (6 programs). The best animations chosen by the festival jury and the popular jury will receive the 2011 Animacurse trophy and the CTAv KIT (finishing on 35mm film) for Best Brazilian Animation (popular jury). The Robert Morgan Special meets four animations of sacred English animator: Yeah Bobby, The Cat With Hands, The Man in the Lower-Left Hand Corner of the Photograph and The Separation. The Mexico Special brings a selection of Mexican short films in partnership with the Mexican Institute of Cinematography. Closing the film program, the Special Top 10 of 2010 with the award-winning animations and finalists of the 2010 edition of the festival. September 10 at 3pm, the chat Animation Stopmotion Process with the Chilean animator Ignacio Ruiz. The 3D Animation Process Lecture, on September 11, 3pm, Cine Cultural Justiça Federal, by Cleber Correia - teacher of Infnet Institute. Registration for the chat and lecture are open on the festival site and are free. The Animacursed party will be September 10th, 12:59pm at The Week. New filmmakers and independent producers can show their films and have contact with professionals and other productions. The public may attend the international premieres exclusively.
